When we first laid eyes on this gorgeous modern table and chairs set, we just knew we had to have it to offer to you! It’s absolutely wonderful!! The set is by Douglas Furniture of California and includes four fabulous chairs with double tube brass plated curved arm frames. The tubes are metal with chrome plating and then brass plate on top of that. Over the years the brass plate has done some thinning and has created a lovely patina and a color we are referring to as “gliver.” It’s just beautiful. They wear a soft blush colored chenille fabric which also brings out a rosy color in the tubes. We love the upholstery, but you may wish to recover…we have priced them accordingly. The table base is also comprised of the brass plated double tube and the top is a gorgeous smoked glass in a rounded rectangular or “stadium” shape. Keeping in mind that this is a vintage set, there are scratches in the plating on each of the pieces and wear consistent with age however, we feel that the patina is marvelous and adds to the over-all beauty. When grouped together, this set is so inviting you may have a hard time getting your guests to leave! It would be a wonderful dining set in your Hollywood Regency style kitchen, but it would also be a great place for game night. We aren’t just looking through “rose colored glasses” when it comes to this dining set…it’s so awesome it will make you “blush!” You should make it yours!!
