Handsome modern cube or case sofa in white leather and a dark stained wood frame with rattan windowpane rattan insert panels. It is in wonderful vintage condition. The wood frame has some nicks and dings as you would expect with age – we call that patina. The leather has been cleaned and the color refreshed with commercial leather dye. There is a patch to the underside of one cushion. The rattan inserts have been removed, strengthened, and refreshed. Please see photos. Circa 1970s-1990s.

Description

We fell in love with this leather, wood, and rattan sofa immediately when we went to view it for purchase! It does not have its makers name anywhere and extensive online research has not garnered that for us. However, it was paired with a Pace coffee/cocktail table, which we purchased and have listed as well, so it wouldn’t surprise us if it turned out to be Pace too. But…..? It is comprised of a boxy case wood frame which we believe to be a dark stained maple. Similar in shape to one of Milo Baughman’s case sofas; but, this frame has square window-paned rattan panel inserts. One panel on each end and three on the back. It somewhat reminds us of Michael Taylor for Baker as well. The overall look is stunning! It is a sofa that cries out to be floated in a room with the back and ends fully visible. Its style is very versatile and will go with almost any interior design plan we can think of. Plus, it is sooooo comfortable! Its loose seat, back, and side cushions are covered in a soft supple creamy white leather. We know you have fallen in love as we did. Make it yours!
