Definitely pure mid-century modern glamour! Ms. Thorpe, like her contemporaries George Briard and Fred Press, designed but did not manufacture her stunning creations. Her wonderful designs were created using sandblasting, silver overlay and paint speckle on simple blank glassware from U.S. and European manufacturers. Every chic Mid-Century Modern home had something by Dorothy Thorpe, in particular, a set of silver banded roly poly tumblers. Now this icon of Mid-Century Modern chic can be yours.

Stunning set of nine silver rimmed roly poly cocktail glasses style of Dorothy Thorpe. They are in wonderful vintage condition with no chips, cracks, or chiggers. There may be small spots of missing silver but nothing major. Please see photos. Circa 1960s.
