Description

Beautiful, elegant, extremely warm. These are the three best descriptors for this wonderful vintage 1950s mouton fur swing style coat. This knee-length coat will keep you the warmest you have ever been and in a comfortable and elegant way. Mouton is French for mutton and in the fur industry means lamb or sheep. It is sheered to a consistent length and dyed a beautiful shade of brown to mimic beaver pelts. Mouton is a much more cost-effective way to wear fur. It has fabulous highlights and a natural sheen and is in wonderful vintage condition. This lovely coat has a great vintage satin lining with no tears or holes, side slit pockets, and hook and eye closings. There is lots of life left in this stylish yet vintage mouton coat.
