Description
What an iconic chair! This McGuire staple was designed in 1968 by Elinor McGuire. Defined by its oval rattan back which frames a series of smaller rattan members bound by rawhide to create the illusion of cracked ice, or shattered glass as some call it. Combined with its other distinguishing features of elegant curved sides, straight legs and delicate corner details, makes this set of chairs design icons. Use them with any style table be it contemporary, mid-century modern, traditional, country, or industrial. They can be used with their tie-on loose seat cushions or without, showing its beautifully caned seat. This awesome set of six chairs is in wonderful circa 1990 condition and ready to use. The fabric on the cushions is a very versatile and neutral small diamond patterned print with just a touch of red/orange in the center. I think they are just what the designer ordered!!
