Description
This gorgeous vintage smoke grey glass cylindrical vase is in the style of Orrefors pattern Legend Square. The previous owner touted it as being Orrefors, but I have not been able to document that. It does look very much like the Orrefors Legend Square pattern; however, I have searched the internet over and cannot find a similar vase. That being said, it is very well made, and oh so beautiful to gaze upon. Its cylindrical shape with the deep V-cut geometric rectangle (not square) design could stand on its own; but the maker has gone one step further and etched or frosted random sections of the pattern. consequently, with the heavy thick bottom the frosted sections of the last two rows look black making the whole vase look graduated in color from top to bottom, gray to black. This is a stunning vase regardless of age and maker and is in wonderful vintage condition with no chips, cracks or chiggers.
