Description
This is a wonderful piece of crystal from Val St. Lambert, Belgium maker of handcrafted crystal since 1826. This octagonal ashtray is in their bold, geometric Art Deco form, “Amadis” which was produced in the 1930s. As far as smoking accessories go this piece is truly great. Very elegant yet substantial and has perfect angular Art Deco lines. Or, for you non-smokers who just admire the glass, use it as a trinket dish, small candy dish or just put it on display! The acid etched signature is prominent on the bottom, please see photo. This marvelous piece of vintage glass is in good condition having no chips or cracks. There are two tiny chiggers on two of the octagonal corners and a few small scratches on its polished bottom as you would expect for its age.
