È magnifico!! These Italian marble tables are that and more. Through our research we have determined they are in the style of the Italian company Up & Up and even though unmarked we feel can be attributed to them. Comprised of two large triangle tops supported by a full slab of perpendicular marble on the long side of the triangle with another placed at a right angle to the first. The seam where the leg connects to the top is beveled and virtually invisible. Simple and stunning. These triangles are bi-level and can be used in endless configurations as a coffee table. Plus, when separated they make a pair of marvelous end tables. Their black marble is exquisitely marked with beautiful white veining and ¾ inch in thickness. Although Post Modern in age and styling we think they are timeless and will blend gorgeously with a modern décor or mid-century modern and even Art Deco or Industrial esthetic.
Up and Up was established in 1969 and brought marble to the forefront as a favorite material of the greatest designers. After a decade of growth, in 1979, Up & Up became UpGroup. Located in Tuscany at the foot of the Apuan Alps between the blue sea and the white Carrara quarries, where Michelangelo selected his precious marbles to create his astonishing works, UpGroup’s list of designers using their marble and services is astounding. Celebrating the likes of Achille Castiglioni, Ettore Sottsass, Aldo Rossi, and Philippe Starck to name just a brief few.
We have fallen totally in love with them and know you have as well. Make these dual duty delta tables yours!
