Torben Orskov is said to be one of the most significant design merchants in Denmark. He founded the company when he was 25 years old after returning from the United States working as a salesperson for a wholesale company that traded design products. With that knowledge, he created a company based on design products and implemented his own ideas and formed a store chain called Form & Farve in Copenhagen. It was the place to go for trendy, fun, and style conscious yet functional designs. He collaborated with many prestigious designers and became close friend with such names as Jorgen Utzon, Kristian Vedel, Jorgen Moller, Hans Bolling, and Finn Juhl.
