Hey…. What kind of bird works on a construction site? If you said, “A Crane!” You GOT IT!! LOL!!! And although we don’t foresee this pair of cranes running a backhoe anytime soon, they will be incredibly GORGEOUS on a selected wall in your home. This is a fabulous woven wall hanging featuring a pair of a curious cranes basking in some sunlight and natural earthy elements surrounding a distant pond or body of water. It is hand made in India and designed by Don Freedman c/o Tree Time Inc. for Interlude Inc. It has a copyright tag on the back labeling it as design #418 and detailing the composition of jute, silk, wood, and cotton. On the front lower right corner, it bears a round red clay or terracotta disc label with Don Freedman’s signature. This wall hanging is a beautiful display of a jute fiber blend that has been woven, weaved, baste stitched, layered, and appliquéd to create a piece of wall decor that takes your breath away. The tall grass blades and the beaks, eyes, and legs of the cranes are comprised of delicately hand wrapped silk threads in lovely neutral shades and the cranes are comprised of a blend of jute, silk, and cotton and separately applied to the jute background. The phenomenal colors of brown, light green, rose, and golden beige intertwined with intricate attention to detail in this piece is simply magnificent. It has modern style with an Asian or chinoiserie flair and will add great texture to any room. If you have tall or vaulted ceilings or a large empty wall that needs something wonderful, you just found it. It would look stunning above a sofa, over a credenza, at a tiki bar, in a sunroom, your Floridian lanai, or on the wall along the stairway. This fiber art wall hanging is beautiful beyond words, and we LOVE it. If you do too, you better hurry, and make it YOURS!!!!!

$1,995
Wonderful Modern textile hand woven wall hanging #418 of cranes & grass by Don Freedman c/o Tree Time Inc. for Interlude. Comprised of a composition of jute, silk, wood, and cotton. Beautiful condition, keeping in mind that this is vintage and not new so will have signs of use and wear even if it has been refinished or restored. Specifically, we have re-glued some of the silk grass blade where they had come loose (we feel this happened from being rolled to store-so we will be shipping this flat.) but there is one we can see with a small snag. Please see photos and zoom in for details as they are part of the condition report. We attempt to portray any imperfections as they are part of the condition report. Circa, 1992.
