Interiors International Ltd. Cantilevered Chrome and Cognac Leather Chairs by John Geiger

$1,995

Handsome pair of chrome and cognac colored leather cantilevered chairs with wood arms by John Geiger for his company Interiors International Ltd. Which was, at that time, located in Toronto Ontario Canada. They are in wonderful vintage condition. The chrome and wood are excellent. The leather has no rips or tears but does have some oil-like stains on the top of the back. They actually look worse in the photos than in person. We think it just gives them a nice worn vintage look. Please see photos. Circa 1970s.

Description

Another gorgeous pair of chairs coming from our private collection. These are circa 1970s by Interiors International Ltd. which was founded in 1964 by John Geiger and is still operated as Geiger today. In 1979 they moved from Toronto to Atlanta and making the name change in 1986. And, in1999 they joined Herman Miller. In the early years John Geiger was not focused on design as much as products he promoted as “furniture for architecture”. These chairs fit that edict wonderfully with their cantilevered chrome frame that surrounds and supports the gently curved and rolled leather back and floating seat. Add their walnut arms and they are perfect. And, I know you have the perfect spot for this pair of mid-century modern rather Bauhaus fabulous chairs. Make them yours.
