If you are looking for a special dining room table, this is it. Deemed mid-century but with an Art Deco flair the table is comprised of a beautiful top with a patterned veneer and stepped-out tiered apron. This gorgeous top is held up by a double set of curved and spindled legs. Graceful and dramatic. There are three leaves which expand the table to full 85 inches. Each leaf is supplied with the top tier of the main table’s apron which gives a beautiful stepped up effect to the sides. The walnut used for this piece is extraordinary and has many different grain patterns including some gorgeous birds-eye. Please see photos. Each detail combines to render this table exceptional! And it is in exceptional vintage condition.
The Architectural Modern Collection was produced by Morris of California roughly from 1948 to 1955. Through online research I’ve gleaned that Morris of California was incorporated by Edward Morris and his brother in 1924 after having first operated in London before WWI and California since 1915. The company was liquidated in 1989. Over the years many have suspected that these pieces were designed by Phyllis Morris but that is not the case.
Don’t wait too long to make this fantastic table yours!!!
