Description

For your consideration an incredible circa 1970s sofa or console table in the style of infamous designer James Mont. The table is comprised of a black lacquered base in Mont’s bold Chinese-inspired style with Ming horseshoe feet and a beautiful glass top with cut off corners and a large beveled edge with a brass trim piece on the inside edge of the bevel. The top floats off the base by four brass orbs positioned immediately above each leg. Nothing short of stunning!

James Mont was quite the character claiming as friends and clients such notables as Frank Costello, “Lucky” Luciano, Bob Hope, Irving Berlin, and Lana Turner. He was sentenced to 5-10 years for assault in Sing-Sing; but, never-the-less, we adore his gorgeous designs.

No matter if your taste gravitates to Mid-Century or Hollywood Regency this console table will fit right in. Just make it yours!
