WOW!! We are in love with this exceptional mid-century modern wrought iron dining table!! This table has a tag on the bottom of the top which says Blacksmith Shop Collection and is dated 12-71. Upon investigating, we found minimal information on obscure designer Max Stout who quietly created wonderful chairs in the early to late mid-century, but unfortunately, extensive online research has not garnered us any information on The Blacksmith Shop Collection. But……No matter, as this is a marvelous piece of high-quality mid-century modern furniture. It is comprised of a fabulous white wrought iron hourglass shaped geometric pedestal base with a stunning white faux slate laminate top. It is a striking combination that would, obviously, be perfect in a sunroom aka Florida room, California room, or lanai; but would also make a statement in your dining room, kitchen, family room, or wherever a table is needed. It will also host many wonderful chair styles.

Max Stout of High Point, North Carolina was an obscure designer that quietly created fabulous chairs in the early to late mid-century. He designed the low back “Stout” chair comprised of painted metal and Naugahyde in the 1950’s. Mr. Stout, a free-lance furniture designer since 1973, was recognized as the driving force behind the formation of the ASFD, which celebrated its 10th anniversary during market. He received the Founder’s Award from the American Society of Furniture Designers.

This table is a wonderful example of mid-century modern excellence! You just need to make it yours.
