Description

The wood on this piece is absolutely gorgeous! Just look at its color and grain. It is unmarked but similar to many other pieces we have offered which were by Founders Furniture and since Founders tended to put hang tags inside storage pieces which eventually were discarded, it is a possibility. However, we have yet been able to find anything exactly like this unique piece. No matter. It is perfect. Comprised of a square double doored cabinet with a lower and upper overhang which is held up by brass ball casters. The doors are adorned with beautiful scrollwork escutcheons and knobs. The cabinet provides ample storage for books, magazines, knitting, or maybe liquor and glassware. This would make an awesome end table but could also be a smaller cocktail table. Mid-century modern to modern in styling with a little Hollywood Regency thrown in. It is very handsome, sturdy, versatile, and unique. You need to make it yours.
