It’s EXACTLY what the designer ordered!
Arne Wahl Iversen was a noted Danish furniture designer who followed in his father’s footsteps as a designer with his own shop in Nyborg which is just west of Copenhagen. He created elegant and functional furniture using high quality techniques and craftsmanship. In 1957 he began his collaboration with Ingvar Kamprad, who founded IKEA in 1943 in the Swedish market. He only designed a short time for Kamprad, but he went on to produce furniture for many factories around Denmark, but he was probably best known for his pieces designed and manufactured at Komfort and Vinde Mobelfabrik. His No. 92 bedroom for Vinde Mobelfabrik was on exhibit at a fair in Geneva where ironically Prince Rainier of Monaco and his wife actress Grace Kelly were in attendance, and when they saw it, they immediately ordered their own! This contributed to his bedroom furniture taking off in the United States. Arne Wahl Iversen actively continued to design until his death in 2016.
This low cabinet Attributed to Arne Wahl Iversen for Vintage IKEA is too incredible to let go. So, whether you call it a low dresser, a cabinet, a credenza, or a low bench… You simply MUST call it YOURS!!!
