Description

I can think of many uses for this beautiful Indian box besides holding spices……holding rings and earrings on your vanity……holding paperclips and rubber bands on your desk……holding safety pins, straight pins, and needles on your sewing table…….or just setting decoratively on your coffee table or a display shelf. Comprised of a wood hand carved six compartment box that is overlaid with India silver. The silver sides of the flower-shaped box are pierced with an elephant design on each of the six curved petal ends and is framed by a series of small circles. Each of the six pie-shaped lids are encased with a thin layer of pierced India silver that has an applied resting lion and are framed with the same series of circles. The six lions each have their tongue sticking out and it wiggles and wags as the box or lids are moved. The lids are hinged on the outer edges and close inward toward the center of the box and are secured in place by a central screw finial knob which is in the form of a peacock. The box is supported by six lion paw feet. It is very intricately and finely made. We have fallen in love with it. I know you will too. Make it yours!
