Fantastic antique hand carved North Wind style mythical face bench or table comprised of rich walnut and mixed woods. It is in beautiful vintage condition. It does have nicks and dings and signs of age, but we call that patina and think it gives this piece wonderful character. The seat/top has been stained and given a coat of polyurethane. Please see photos. Circa Mid19th– Mid 20th Century.

It could have had a cushion or leather top at some point but we left it as is so you could decide how it would best be used in your home. Both ends are curved, and hand carved with a Victorian Figural Northwind style face. It looks like the Medieval Gothic “Green Face,” but it could be a mythical lion, dragon, or gothic tiger and it’s trimmed with a classic egg and dart molding. It would be a fantastic way to display foliage or your favorite vases and sculptures. It could be a unique coffee table for your living room, a perfect bench for the foot of your bed, or an accent table to hold books and magazines. It is so versatile and absolutely the coolest bench or table you will ever lay your eyes on! Make it yours!!
