Just look at these fabulous midcentury modern dining chairs. Such great lines and very comfortable. Made with great attention to detail they look incredible from every direction. Covered in their original brown and cream nubby tweed-like fabric, which is in excellent condition, the inside backs are channeled and framed by the outside backs. The pattern of the fabric gives a horizonal effect that is very pleasing. The arm chairs are created by the addition of an angled fully upholstered arm applied to the original slipper style side chair. Very appealing. Each chair held up by four walnut square splayed legs. Exceptional! The Architectural Modern Collection was produced by Morris of California roughly from 1948 to 1955. Through online research I’ve gleaned that Morris of California was incorporated by Edward Morris and his brother in 1924 after having first operated in London before WWI and California since 1915. The company was liquidated in 1989. Over the years many have suspected that these pieces were designed by Phyllis Morris but that is not the case. This is a very unique set of six mid-century modern dining chair which need to be yours!!
