When I saw this gorgeous set of dining chairs my heart skipped a beat! I had to have them to offer to you. They were designed by Pietro Costantini for Ello and each chair is marked. There are four side chairs and two armed host chairs. Comprised of a black lacquered wood frame with oval backs that have an incredible drape pattern in their center. The legs are slender and give the whole look such elegance. The seats are in their original black and grey contemporary upholstery fabric which has a rather animal or snakeskin feel. If you are looking for glamour for your dining room…you have found it.
Costantini Pietro began almost 100 years ago in 1922. A great family passion for wood resulted in the beginning of a dream with a small workshop which grew by the beginning of the 1950s into an industry with a wide range of seating and tables destined for distributors and international importers. Their success was built on their belief in Italian quality being about accuracy and details, experience and excellence, skilled craftsmen and control. By the 1980s the brand Costantini Pietro was entrenched and considered synonymous with luxury lifestyle, sophisticated modernity, and furniture to stand the test of time by interpreting the elegant and evolved taste of an international audience. They are still in operation today.
Ello furniture was founded in Chicago by Lothar Molton in 1956, a few years after fleeing Nazi Germany with his family. In 1968 he moved the company to Rockford, Illinois and in 2010 it closed its doors. Ello’s motto was Contemporary Furniture of Distinction combined with Function plus Spectacular Glamour.
Ello’s motto and Costantini Pietro’s belief perfectly describes these wonderful chairs! You must make them yours.
