If you have a big family or love giving dinner parties, this is the table for you! Comprised of beautiful warm teak wood with a trestle style base and rounded-corner-almost-oval top, this outstanding teak dining table by Gudme Mobelfabrik expands from 63.5 inches to 102 inches and, depending upon the chairs used, it can seat 6 to 12 and the Gudme brochure shows a maximum of 14 diners being seated around this incredible table by placing two at each end using the rounded corners. The trestle style base ensures no one’s knees will knock against the table legs. This Gudme Mobelfabrik table is often attributed to Niels Otto Moller as the designer; however, I have not found any solid information that can prove or disprove this attribution. It is marked on the underside with the Gudme Mobelfabrik name, and their name is synonymous with high quality Danish Modern furnishings, so of that we can be sure.
