Description

Comfy, classy, and custom made. This mid-century modern tuxedo style platform sofa is all that. A Lee Harvey Original by Maddox made for Design Forum, a longtime interior design firm here in my hometown. It has the typical tuxedo style with the back and arms of the same height. But goes one step further with the side pillows being the same height as the back pillows. And, it has an angled platform base which is upholstered and setting on a wood plinth. The nubby fabric is done in stripes of varying sizes and textures in colors of oatmeal, mustard, brown, and black. In the right light the neutral colors are speckled with bright red, blue, and green threads. So, if you are a purist, you will love the original fabric. And if not, I can imagine how stunning this would be in an oatmeal or gray mohair! Or maybe bright blue! It’s a wonderful sofa. You should make it yours.
