Description

This one-of-a-kind ceramic sculptural mirror created by ceramic artist George Alexander takes my breath away! The mirror frame is comprised of emerald green rectangular tiles bordered by gold metallic accent tile and crowned by a blanket of modeled flowers and leaves with one enormous spectacular golden yellow sunflower standing out from the rest. You must take in its awesome beauty. The detail and colors are astonishing. This incredible mirror is in wonderful condition. We are sure you have the perfect spot for this to hang. It would fit in perfectly with your decor whether your style is modern, industrial, traditional, or even modern country!

George Alexander obtained his BFA and MFA from the University of Mississippi at Oxford in 1969. He continued study in Italy and Spain which influenced his work, as you can see, with their Majolica and Capodimonte. Mr. Alexander’s work with its rich glazes and three dimensionality and expressivity has many calling him …”the Chihuly of clay”.

This awesome George Alexander mirror was graciously donated to KTWU, the local Topeka, Kansas public television station, to be sold. We here at Warehouse 414 volunteered to offer this piece for sale to a more global audience hoping to secure the maximum amount possible. This mirror is not only ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS, it is a philanthropic purchase as most of the proceeds will go to public television! You need to make it yours!!
