Upon our extensive research we were able to confirm that this set was created prior to 1980 when Shaver Howard became Johnston Casuals. So, sometime in the “Groovy 70’s!” Ahhhhh, the “Decade of Disco!” No wonder this table is so FAB! Obviously, it will be awesome in your dining area, but it could be a wonderful addition to a game room for the perfect spot to sit and play a game of cards or assemble a fun jigsaw puzzle. Shaver Howard was a U.S. based furniture company founded in North Wilkesboro, North Carolina by Jacob Shaver and Richard Howard. During much of the 60’s they produced mid-century modern furnishings, many pieces by famed designer Arthur Umanoff. In 1980, Shaver Howard Furniture Co. was purchased and renamed Johnston Casuals.
