Mid Century Hollywood Regency Mediterranean High Backed Pair of Armchairs

$2,495

SKU 414-SEA-081 Category Tags ,

Incredible pair of mid century Hollywood Regency Mediterranean high backed armchairs. Done in the style of Dorothy Draper these chairs are in wonderful circa 1960s vintage condition. The wood is in excellent shape and the fabric is very clean; however, it has faded overall. You can see a hint of its original color when the seat cushion is removed but its new faded color is very appealing!

Description

Mid-Century. Hollywood Regency. Mediterranean. Wow!! These chairs are unusually unique with their high sculpted back and the Mediterranean styling of their carved wood arms and legs. Throne like and stately they would enhance any room in your home, especially an entryway or flanking a fireplace. The manufacturer is unconfirmed but their craftmanship is suburb and, in our opinion, in the style of the renowned Dorothy Draper. Upholstered in, what we feel is their original, textured velvet stripe fabric. It has faded from an almost aqua coloration to a very nice neutral. They have faded so evenly that the only indication of a change is by the color beneath the removable seat cushion! Whether you leave them as is or reupholster, these are attention grabbing chairs and should be yours!
