Fabulous mid-century modern octagonal Italian pottery cookie jar decorated with a fun animal brass band. It is signed on the bottom and in great vintage condition. There are some spots where the glaze is worn thru to the clay. They are not chips but look more like scrapes or scratches. Please see photos. Circa 1960s-1970s.

What song do you think this quirky animal brass band is playing? This is such a fun little ceramic cookie jar shaped as an octagon and hand decorated with the cutest animal marching band. The band is made up of a black horse playing the base drum, a yellow duck playing the tuba, and a brown squirrel playing a trumpet, with the three being directed by a wonderful pink pig. They are on a bandstand with a turquoise roof and a burgundy cupola. The roof and cupola are the lid and the knob. Very clever and lots of fun. You must have it for your own!
