Mid Century Modern Conical Table Lamp with Glass Ball Globe after Ponti or Curry

Fabulous mid-century modern conical table lamp with a steel blue blown glass globe and white painted wood lamp base. There is a label on the glass globe, but we cannot make out what it says. This lamp is done in the style of Gio Ponti or maybe Bill Curry for his work for Designline or Laurel. It is in wonderful vintage condition overall. The glass globe has several minute chigger chips, which could be professionally polished if bothersome. The white painted base has a fresh coat of paint. Please see photos. Circa 1960s.

What do you get when you combine Gio Ponti and Bill Curry? This lamp! But seriously it looks like a collaboration between the two. We have not had success in tracking down the maker of this fabulous lamp even though there is a sticker on the steel blue glass ball globe. Maybe you can make out what it says. No matter. This white painted wood conical base with its glass ball globe is simply stunning. Use it in your entryway. Use it on a sofa table, desk, or bookshelf. No matter where you use it, it will look fantastic and its ready to go. Just make it yours.
