Description

What a fabulous piece of mid-century modern walnut American made furniture! This low dresser or chest of drawers is made circa 1960 by The National Furniture Company of Mt. Airy, North Carolina which became part of Bassett Furniture around 1974. This wonderful chest consists of nine drawers, three larger drawers on either side and, what looks like six drawers but is really three, short drawers down the center. It is raised off the floor by four slender conical-shaped legs which end in a clear acrylic ball foot. The two front legs have a bronze colored metal rod stretcher which is an awesome detail and part of the charm of this piece. Sleek ’60’s hardware adorns the front. This cool mid-century dresser is simplicity at its best. It is in beautiful vintage condition for age and use with no outstanding flaws that we have found.
