Mid Century Modern Pair of Lounge Chairs with Teak Arms & Legs & Brass Sabots

SKU 414-SEA-139AB Category

Handsome pair of mid-century modern lounge chairs in the style of Harvey Probber’s slipper chair but with teak arms and legs and brass sabots. They are in fabulous vintage condition. The teak is beautiful with no visible outstanding flaws and we believe them to have possibly been reupholstered as the striped fabric is in excellent condition and the dustcovers look newer. We have cleaned up and polished the bass sabots as well. Circa 1960s

These lounge chairs have no maker name, but they are oh so wonderful! Have I said recently I dislike immensely when the tag has been removed! Don’t remove those tags! We sure have come across a lot of awesome pieces lately with no mark or tag. Never mind. This pair are just fabulous and in terrific condition. The seat and back style are very similar to Harvey Probber’s slipper chair with the low modified wingback and button detail. The avocado green and harvest gold striped upholstered body is held up by slender round tapered legs, the front ones from the floor to the Danish Modern style teak arms, and they end with brass sabots with swivel feet. These chairs are similar in style to and could be Koehler but we did not find the exact chair in our research. You be the judge. Just make them yours.
