This pair of owls are a…….Hoot! I couldn’t resist. These over-scaled fellows make quite the statement and are utterly handsome. Made by the Burwood Products Company of Traverse, Michigan circa 1967. What is Burwood you say? Well, let me tell you. Burwood is a composite wood/plastic material that can be injection molded.  Burwood Carved Product Co., contemporary of companies making the same type of décor such as Syroco, Dart, and Arabesque, came into being in the late 1920s. They dropped the carved from their name approximately 1932 and finally closed their doors roughly around 1988. Fun and whimsical yet striking at the same time this owl pair should be yours! I know you can’t resist their charm.
