Groovy Baby!!! Check out this totally radical space age mod style orange ball chair!! It’s super awesome and attributed to the Girasole chair by Luciano Frigerio. It has a white fiberglass resin ball seat which is a loose half sphere that rests on an angled foot base and it’s COMPLETELY adjustable.…. any angle, any position…you can go from sitting totally upright to laying all the way down. The seat holds a huge comfortable cushion that is wearing its original orange microfiber or brushed polyester fabric which over time has become a bit faded, we love the look but realize most may want to reupholster so, we decided to leave reupholstering decisions up to the buyer. We have priced the chair accordingly. This ball chair will definitely bring a splash of Pop-Modern or Space Age style to any room in your home. It would make a great gaming chair or lounge seat in a bedroom or sitting room. Or maybe you need extra seating in your living room? This chair would be perfect! Awesome Space Age Mod style ball chair in the style of the Girasole chair by Luciano Frigerio. Comprised of white fiberglass resin ball seat & base and original orange microfiber or brushed polyester fabric. Beautiful condition, keeping in mind that this is vintage and not new so will have signs of use and wear. The fabric has quite a bit of fading, some snags, and a tear that’s been repaired; but we wanted to leave the covering on this great piece original and let the buyer make the decision whether to and what to recover in. A couple of small cracks in the pedestal base where it touches the floor have been repaired and the base repainted. We did not repaint the ball itself as we like the wonderful natural age patina; however, we can include the matching paint we used for the base if you choose to let us know. And the felt around the upper and lower rim of the base has been replaced. Please see photos and zoom in for details. We attempt to portray any imperfections. Circa, 1960-1970’s.
