We are not sure if this incredible set of three Lucite and chrome candlesticks are Art Deco, Streamline Moderne, Mid-Century Modern, or Modern. We are sure that they are fabulous! They have attributes of all those styles. They are comprised of a round stepped Lucite base and a simple Lucite shaft with a chrome ring that connects the base to the bottom of the shaft and chrome ring and cup at the top of the shaft to hold the candle. In a way they remind us of Helena Rubinstein’s early Lucite designs with their stepped acrylic base indicative of the era. But their chrome and straight lines are more Mid-Century Modern-Modern era. With the materials we are reminded of the designs of Dorothy Thorpe and Charles Hollis Jones. But not quite. No matter the designer or the maker they are beautiful and useful and will adorn your dining table or credenza magnificently! Make them yours.
