Highly sculpted elephant ears on each side, a headdress in the center, and the leg supports are carved in a V shape connected with a stretcher baring cross supports which mimic the elephant ears! Phenomenal vintage Chinoiserie hand carved Rosewood Howdah or elephant saddle chair from Bangkok Thailand. Beautiful condition, keeping in mind that this is vintage and not new so will have signs of use and wear. It has a repaired chip and crack on its front top back rail.
