Description
When in doubt….wear red!!! Whoa! Just look at this fantastic Danish Modern settee sofa. We could not find a tag, or a mark and extensive online research has not determined its maker. I am thinking it might be a Scandinavian Modern style but made in Yugoslavia. It doesn’t matter where it was made when it’s this striking. The frame is comprised of six legs. The legs hold the arms and lower stretchers and the three back legs hold the upper stretcher. There are 12 spindles in the back running from bottom stretcher to top stretcher and providing the support for the two back cushions. The lower stretchers hold the metal S springs which are covered by a canvas fabric and support the two seat cushions. We had new cushions made to the specifications of the originals. (The original foam was getting crispy as foam that old can do.) We had the new cushions covered in one of our fabrics from our vintage fabric collection. Wow is it ever perfect!! This incredible mid-century modern sofa is ready for you to use wherever your heart desires. Just make it yours!
