Description

You know that wonderful smell that only came from your grandma’s kitchen? Oh man… whether she was making breakfast, dinner, or a fresh batch of her secret recipe cookies, the smell from her kitchen is forever branded in my soul! This fantastic turquoise metal cupboard takes me on a nostalgic journey back to grandma’s kitchen. What a treat! Actually, by the well-worn look of this cabinet, it was most likely used in grandpa’s workshop after grandma got new kitchen cabinets!! We LOVE it!! It is a one-piece unit comprised of a metal shelf behind two sliding glass doors on the top portion of the cabinet. The center features an aged white laminate countertop with gold specs baring obvious stains and signs of use which we decided was part of its charm! A chrome edge surrounds the countertop, and the lower unit has two drawers and two lower doors with chrome hardware and there is a single metal shelf behind the lower doors providing ample storage space for whatever you choose. The whole cabinet has an all-over fabulous purposeful distressed patina… we call that “perfectly imperfect!” or “Flawsome” FLAWSOME (flo-sem) …. adjective: an individual who embraces their “flaws” and knows they are awesome regardless…. and we think this cupboard is just that! Lots of extra character and additional vintage beauty! And what about this COLOR!! It’s a lovely turquoise that will bring that pop of color to any room in your home! Of course, this cabinet would be fun in your kitchen displaying dinnerware or the China you inherited from grandma, but you could fill it with books or your favorite object’s d’art and use it in the living room or study… Or make it a dry bar and fill the display portion with wonderful cocktail glasses and use the lower part for linens, liquor bottles, and other bar accessories. It is versatile, useful, and sure to be your favorite new piece! Grandma would want you to have it!! No need to wait… Make it yours!!
