Excuse me sir… are you blowing me a kiss?? That’s very sweet but I’m not interested. Sir, did you not hear me? Please don’t look so sad, I already have a partner, that’s all, nothing personal. Hello!!!! Why are you dancing so whimsically around me, staring into my eyes… into my soul actually? I hear no music, but you have such lovely rhythm, elaborate movement, and gestures. Your make up is fabulous, by the way! And that outfit!! So eclectic, flowing gently off your shoulders in the afternoon breeze. Do I know you? Why won’t you speak to me sir? You’re beginning to irritate me! Yes, I like your hat… Why are you holding it upside down at me!! No, I don’t want to wear it, thank you! Oh, wait… Of course!! What a performance!! You sir are a most wonderful MIME!! This is an INCREDIBLE bronze sculpture by famed artist & sculptor Richard MacDonald. This is one of the 175 limited-edition larger pieces that quickly sold out. He did create a series of 950 smaller pieces after these sold out so abruptly but this one is a signed original 13.5” x 17” statue. He is comprised of patinated silver toned bronze, and he stands upon a beautiful square black marble base. He is unique and gorgeous with a contemporary vibe! The figurative detail is impeccable, and he is ready to grace any room of your home with his AWESOMENESS!
Richard MacDonald graduated Cum laude from the Art Center College of Design in 1971 and had been trained originally as a classic painter. His career began in the world of illustration, where he spent a decade illustrating sporting events, including the Olympics but he retired from that in 1983 as his fascination with the human form and body brought him into sculpture. He immersed himself into three dimensional creations. He quickly became a renowned artist as his dynamism and refinement for superb quality was greatly sought after. He worked regularly with live models, dancers, and athletes creating anatomically correct sculptures which testified to his unparalleled perfectionism. He worked with prominent dancers and performers all over the world, notably with members of The Royal Ballet, American Ballet Theatre, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre, and recently Cirque du Soleil. He also was awarded by the United States Olympic Committee as a devout philanthropist. He is singled out as a rare sculptor who does not resort to modern technologies but keeps his work organic and original. He keeps a studio in Monterey, California and continues to create incredible sculptures.
The Passage of Time… the meaning of La Fuite du Temps. Don’t let too much time pass you by deciding whether or not you need this sold-out limited-edition phenomenal work of art by Richard MacDonald! You know you do, and it won’t last on the market long!! Make it yours!!
