Description

This seating is fit for a King… AND his Queen! This is an absolutely wonderful pair of custom made vintage modern Renaissance style fauteuil armchairs! And, according to the tag… they were custom made for Cohlmia Interiors, an elite interior designer. They are comprised of sophisticatedly carved walnut colored stained hardwood frames, and they are definitely large-scale! Old World furniture is often very large, heavy, and sturdy which allows it to uphold the hands of time. Also, it usually features highly skilled carved details as these phenomenal pieces display. The incredible scrolled arms with an acanthus leaf design and intricately carved squared legs and feet are indicative of Old-World style. They have side stretchers between the front and back feet and through the center which adds a stylish touch and extra stability. The seats wear a fabulous brown vinyl fabric featuring a textured leaf pattern and antiqued brass nail head trim on the front and sides of the seat. Old world furniture craftsman would use fabrics inspired by colors found in nature. And just look at this tapestry fabric on the great looking high backs of these chairs! Comprised of gorgeous earthy tones of dark brown, off white, and beige incorporated with accent colors of burgundy red like wine and rich green like the forest… trimmed around the entire back with lovely, antiqued brass nail head design. It’s gorgeous!! These vintage modern Renaissance style fauteuil armchairs are sure to be a focal point wherever you use them. They would be wonderful facing a fireplace in the den or across from the sofa in your living room. They will be fabulous across from the desk in your office or side by side in your sitting room. And, of course, they would shine as the host and hostess chairs at your dining room table!! Wouldn’t it be wonderful to bring a little bit of Old-World style into YOUR world? Well, what are you waiting for? Make them yours!!
