Description

You know when you’re walking along, minding your own business, trying to enjoy some peace and quiet, listening to the leaves crackling in the breeze and the chirping of the birds in the distance… and along comes an annoying little creature, pecking at your heels and swooshing in on your personal space? Well, this poor beautiful, colorful bird seems to be having that kind of day… Trying to take a stroll, minding its own business, maybe find a worm or stray caterpillar to munch on, and this pesky black bird just won’t leave him alone! Nipping at his tailfeathers and swooping in his personal space like an annoying little brother…Well, at least that’s what I see in this FABULOUS painting…makes me smile for sure, and who can’t benefit from a smile?? This is a stunning watercolor painting on paper composed of exotic birds and greenery by Italian artist Vittorio Raineri created in 1836. Portrayed with meticulous detail and vibrant colors, this watercolor painting of exotic birds is signed and dated “Vittorio Raineri disegnò e dipinse 1836” in the lower center margin…which translates to “Vittorio Raineri drawing, and he painted 1836.” We know there are reproductions available but make no mistake… this is a signed authentic original painting, and it is incredible!! It is beautifully and professionally framed with Museum glass and is UV protected and wears a gorgeous black wood frame with a gold liner. It’s absolutely magnificent and will look beautiful in any room of your home, in a hall or entry way, or maybe you need some wonderful bright colors in your office? This painting is just what you’ve been looking for!!

Carlo Antonio and Vittorio Raineri (father and son) were decorative artists who worked in the Lombard and Ligurian areas in the 18th and 19th century. They specialized in the highly colorful and exotic interior design that was so fashionable at the time (Scuola d’Ornato). Vittorio Raineri took after his father Cluadio Antonio Raineri by specializing in decorative paintings of birds, plants, and butterflies. Together, he and his father decorated villas and residences in Lombardy, such as the Villa Reale di Monza and the Palazzi Perego and Anguissola in Milan. While many of his avian works are based on prints published in Comte de Buffon’s, Histoire Naturelle des Oiseaux (Paris 1770-1786), many others are based on the artist’s free interpretations. Vitto Raineri lived from (1797-c. 1869)

This is a FABULOUS painting of exotic birds by Vittorio Raineri. We just adore it!! If you love it half as much as we do, you simply MUST make it yours!!
