Description

Herman Miller Magnificence!!! What a GORGEOUS pair of console, sofa, or end tables by the iconic Herman Miller. They are comprised of black laminate, a black metal pedestal base, and the tops have a wonderful, curved shape that almost mimics a baby grand piano. They are versatile enough to split up and use separately or to use together as one table. Separately, they make an awesome pair of nightstands, end tables, or at a desk on each end. But there are SO many options!!! You can put the curved edges side by side and it creates a split square table or with the narrow ends together you get a unique, extraordinary console table. We think they are particularly stunning with the wider ends together used as a sofa or console table. They will be fantastic in your living room behind your sofa or maybe along the wall under your wall mounted television. They would be eye-catching in your entry way, flanking your fireplace, or even in your dining room under that large piece of artwork. They have an exclusive shape with oodles of versatility, and they demand attention.

Herman Miller started life as Star furniture Co. in Zeeland, Michigan in 1905 a producer of high-quality furniture. Becoming Michigan Star Furniture Co in 1919, and then in 1923, when long time employee Dirk Jan De Pree and his father-in-law purchased 51% of the company stock, it was renamed Herman Miller Furniture Company. And remained so until the 1960s when it became Herman Miller, Inc. Until the 1930s they produced only traditional wood furniture, but the Great Depression caused a need for change, and they hired modernist Gilbert Rohde who took the company in a new successful direction. Upon Rohde’s death in 1944 he was replaced by none other than the renowned George Nelson. Working with the likes of not only Charles and Ray Eames but Isamu Noguchi, Alexander Girard, and Robert Propst, to name just a few, Nelson led Herman Miller to became one of the finest names in furniture and design.

This is a SUPERB pair of console tables by an iconic manufacturer! Don’t wait, make them yours!!
